James Monroe Manley, 81 died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Cambridge Manor in Cambridge.
He was born June 19, 1924 to Edgar and Sarah (Stewart) Manley in Edison. He attended McCook Public Schools.
He married Rowene Myers on June 6, 1948, to this union one son, Jerry, was born. They made their home in McCook.
He worked for the Bureau of Reclamation in McCook for about 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Sarah; and two brothers, Edgar and Keith.
Survivors include his wife, Rowene; his son Jerry Manley and wife Sue all of McCook; three grandchildren, Anthony Manley and wife Tiffany, Kevin Manley and wife Brendy and Valerie Manley and significant other Nathan Cooper; eight great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Sean Manley, Cebastian, Sky, and Mikah, Manley, Amelia, Makenna, and Madison Cooper.
Memorials were being accepted in his name.
Inurnment services took place Monday, April 3, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Memorial Park Columbarium in McCook, with Pastor Richard Karr officiating.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
