James L. Petsch, age 64, of McCook, NE passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, in Kansas City, MO.

James was born November 21, 1957, in McCook, NE to parents Gary and Marian R. (Schuler) Petsch. He was raised in the McCook community and graduated from McCook High School with the Class of 1976 and then attended the University of Nebraska- Lincoln.

On September 21, 2021, James married Blanche N. Brown of Kansas City, MO. James worked for FedEx for 20 years. In his free time, James enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with friends and family, and watching the Huskers compete. He was especially fond of dogs and was an avid Husker fan.

James was proceeded in death by his parents.

Those left to celebrate his life include his children, Trevor (Marta) Petsch of El Paso, TX, Brandon Petsch of Kansas City, MO, Brodie (Tamara) Petsch of Lincoln, NE, Tanner Petsch of Omaha, NE, Tearynn Jones of Kansas City, MO, and Ashkyia Jones of Kansas, MO; brother Dan (Kim) Petsch of Grand Island, NE, and sister Diane Petsch of Dallas, TX; 4 grandchildren Emma, Luca, Owen and Henry Petsch; and a host of extended family members and lifelong friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home, McCook, with Pastor Nathan Dycus officiating.

Inurnment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, McCook.
