James Jonathon "Jimmy" Sughroue was born September 1, 1964 and died on July 1, 2011 in an automobile accident.
He was born in McCook, Nebraska to James F. and Leah (Allen) Sughroue. Jimmy attended Chase County Schools until 1981 and continued on to graduate from Republican Valley in 1983. He attended Peru State College and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, teaching in Cherry County after graduation. Jimmy was employed at Southwest Schools in Bartley and in the garden center at Wal-Mart.
Jimmy married Ramona Kay Hinton on July 27, 1996 at St. Catherine's in Indianola. To this union four children were born.
Jimmy loved history, and always wanted to know more about people and where they were from. He was involved with the Red Willow County Historical Society, Boy Scouts of America as well as a member of St. Catherine's in Indianola. Jimmy never met a stranger, and was always ready with a story or joke.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his sister Janine, brother Jeffery, grandparents, Frank and Johanna Sughroue, Elvin and Marion Allen.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Ramona, sons, Daniel, James, and Patrick; daughter, Johanna, his parents; James and Leah Sughroue; brothers, Jay, and Joel Sughroue, sisters; Jeanette (Larry) Munger, Julie (Mike) Anderson, and Jill Bartels; and sister-in-law, Marcia Sughroue: many nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
