Janice Kay (Ziemann) Terbell

Janice Kay (Ziemann) Terbell, age 82 of McCook, Ne passed away on January 8, 2022 at Community Hospital in McCook.

Janice was born November 28, 1939 in Lead, SD to parents Wayne and Gladys (Doud) Hawley. She was the youngest of 3 children. Janice graduated from Ft. Pierre High School with the class of 1957.

On August 17, 1957 Janice married Donnell H. Ziemann. To this union 4 children were born; Kevin Wayne, Kelly James, Kristine Marie, and Kimberly Dawn. The family moved to McCook in 1967 and purchased Quality Cleaners dry cleaning business and ran the business until 1980 following the death of Donnell. Janice worked at Hillcrest Nursing Home for numerous years as a housekeeper where she developed a passion for the residents. Janice loved spending time with her family and friends and her beloved pets, Ginger and Trixie.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clifford and Marvin Hawley; husbands, Donnell, Harold Hoff and Gene Terbell; and special friend, Gene Johnson.

Those left to celebrate her life include sons, Kevin (Carolyn) Ziemann of LaVista, NE and Kelly (Pamela) Ziemann of Bozeman, MT; daughters, Kristy (Greg) Pollnow of McCook and Kim (Tom) Sughroue of Indianola, NE; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and best friend, Glenda Love.

A final farewell book signing will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home from 5 - 7 p.m. with family present to greet friends. An inurnment of cremains service will be held at a later date in Pierre, SD.

Memorials may be given in her name to the McCook Humane Society, 100 South Street, McCook, NE 69001.
