Jean Eileen Dauchy, 84, died Thursday, October 7, 2004 at Hillcrest Nursing.
Jean was born on December 29, 1919 at McCook to Charles Henry and Berniece LaVaughn (McManigal) Mitchell. She graduated from McCook High School in 1938.
On June 20, 1938, she married Marvin Loren Dauchy in Atwood, Kansas. To this union one son was born. They moved to Kellog, Idaho and lived there for many years. Jean was a homemaker and worked at the IGA Supermarket in the meat department. They returned to the McCook community in the early 80's. Jean loved working crossword puzzles.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles and Berniece Mitchell; husband, Marvin Dauchy on November 25, 1998; son, Marvin Coulter; twin sister, June Marquadt; sister, Letty Scheidt; and two brothers, Dale and Robert Mitchell.
Survivors include her sister, Wanda and husband, Alfred Seals, of McCook; sisters-in-law, Virginia and husband, Roland Goddard, of Independence, MO and Jean Mitchell of Toledo, Oh; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given in her name.
Funeral service were Tuesday, October 12, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Chapel with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial took place in Riverview Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
