Biography

Jennifer Lynn Boyd died Friday, May 16, 2008 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook. She was 56 years old.

Jennifer was born on January 9, 1952 in Nelson, Nebraska to Wilford and Marrianne (Sole) Stineman. She graduated from Nelson High School in 1970. She continued her education at the Denver School of Business. In May of 2002, she graduated from McCook Community College with an Associates Degree.

Jennifer was united in marriage to Timothy D. Boyd on May 5, 1973 in Nelson. They made their home in McCook and to this union three children were born. Jennifer had previously worked for the Work Ethic Camp in McCook as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She was currently owner and operator of The Quilt Corner. She was an instrumental part of the Alzheimer Memory Walk.

Jennifer was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church and Quilting Guild. She enjoyed going to the lake and spending time with her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her infant sister, Beth Stineman; father, Wilford Stineman; and her husband Timothy Boyd.

Survivors include her children, Carrie and husband, Jon Johnson, of McCook, Eric Boyd and significant other, Korey Mohr, of Lincoln, and Kevin and fiancé©, Tera Montey, of Hastings; her mother, Marrianne Stineman of Nelson; three brothers, Randy Stineman and wife, Peg, David Stineman and Roger Stineman all of Nelson; two sisters, Priscilla and husband, Steve Bell, of Muskogee, OK and Loretta and husband, Gary Westra, of Anchorage, AK; and three grandchildren, Kerisa Boyd, Abigail and Chayse Johnson.

Memorials were to be given in her name.

Funeral services were Wednesday, May 21, 2008, 10:30 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Burial took place in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
