Jeryce Earline Kelly died Saturday, August 27, 2005, at the Premier Estates Senior Living Community in North Platte. She was 61 years old.

Jeryce was born on March 24, 1944, at Rock Springs, Wyoming to Earl Thomas and Mildred Pauline (Burgess) Dasher. She graduated in 1962 from Loop County High School in Taylor. She continued her education at McCook Junior College for two years and graduated in 1989 from Chadron State College with a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in Special Education.

Jeryce married Terry Lloyd Kelly on April 23, 1963, at Pipestone, Minnesota. They were blessed with five children. She taught special education in the Hemingford Schools until her retirement in 1997. After her retirement she moved to the Bartley Community.

She was a member of the Bartley United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and past-member of NSEA. Throughout her life she was active in many youth organizations. She lead Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, assisted with 4-H, taught Sunday School for many years and lead Jr. & Sr. High Methodist Youth groups.

Jeryce enjoyed making and collecting dolls in her spare time. She also enjoyed reading, hand crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Dawn in infancy; and two sisters, Judith Burget and Jeannette Kelley.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Kelly of Bartley; one daughter, Paulette Sell of Indianola; three sons, Patrick Kelly and wife, Michelle, of Ithaca, Sean Kelly of Bartley and Seamus Kelly and wife, LoRene, of Lincoln; one brother, George Dasher of New York; and four grandchildren, Marshall, Colin, Moira, and Maximus.

Memorials were to be given in her name.

A memorial service took place Tuesday, August 30, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at the Bartley United Methodist Church with Rev. David Rowe officiating.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
