John Fidler

John Fidler passed away May 8, 2004 while vacationing in France with his wife Peggy.
He was born May 8, 1938 in Cambridge, Nebraska, beloved son of the late E.H. and Elizabeth Fidler. John held a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Black Hills State University, a Masters' Degree in microbiology from the University of Nebraska, and an MBA in Hospital Administration from the University of Florida.
John was a highly regarded healthcare professional who had an illustrious career in hospital administration in Florida, Missouri, California, and Arkansas. John strived to be of service to mankind throughout his career. Realizing the mission of the church-affiliated hospitals he led was his priority. John had a deep and abiding faith in God that sustained him and gave him purpose. He was a loving and devoted husband and father who remained involved and engaged in his family despite the grueling hours and myriad responsibilities of his position.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Burtch) Fidler and daughter, Christina Fidler of Palmdale, Calif.; brothers, Paul Fidler of Hastings, Jerry Fidler of Willows, Calif., and Ken Fidler of Deadwood, S.D.; sisters, Delores Groothuis of Kokomo, Ind., Winifred Rodarmel of Spearfish, S.D., Ernestine Reeves of Akron, Ohio and Judy Fidler of Deadwood, S.D.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Ray Fidler and Ronnie Fidler.
Those of us who knew him as brother, husband, father, and friend thank God for the blessing of having him in our lives.
