Judith Kay Yost

Judith Kay Yost, age 78, of McCook, NE passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Hillcrest Caring Center in McCook.

Judith was born March 14, 1943 in Miller, South Dakota to parents Alfred and Florence (Johnson) Syring.  She was one of two children who grew up in central South Dakota where she graduated from Highmore High School with the Class of 1961. She went to attend Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD and Stewart’s School of Hairstyling in Sioux Falls, SD.

On July 6, 1965 Judith married Jerome Yost in Miller.  To this union three children were born.

Judith was a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Miller and worked for many years as bookkeeper at the Miller Co-op.  She and Jerome moved to the McCook Community in 2009.  Judith enjoyed spending her free time making crafts, sewing and creating ceramic projects.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerome Yost, and one half-brother, Doyl Syring.

Those left to celebrate her life include her children, Jade Yost of Manor, TX, Lirin Yost of Destin, FL and Kecia (Thormodsgard) Elliott of Trenton, NE; sister, Sally (Lyle) LaBau of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
