Kathleen Sue Hartwell

Kathleen Sue Hartwell, age 69, of McCook, NE passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 in McCook.

Kathleen was born March 30, 1954 in McCook, NE to Robert and Dorothy (Kircher) Vontz.  She attended and graduated from McCook High School in 1972.

Kathleen worked at Parker and Walmart for many years.  She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in McCook.  In her free time she enjoyed quilting and sewing.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents.

Kathleen is survived by her two sons, Dan and wife Chelsey Hartwell of McCook, NE, and Josh and wife Whitney Hartwell of Huntsville, AL; two brothers, Bob and wife Nancy Vontz of Arcadia, FL and Ken Vontz of McCook, NE.  Also surviving are five grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are suggested to the McCook Humane Society, P.O. Box 13, McCook, NE 69001.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
