Kenneth Carlson

Kenneth Verner Carlson of McCook died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Hillcrest Nursing Home. He was 80 years old.
Kenneth was born on May 30, 1928, south of Herndon, Kansas on the family farm to Carl Robert and Mina May (Anderson) Carlson.
On September 22, 1957, Kenneth married Betty Marie (Eggers) Stone in Atwood. He adopted her children, Carol Norma and Bruce Gerald on June 21, 1958.
Kenneth was owner and operator of two stores in McCook, This and That Furniture and Gooch Feeds. He later sold Watkins Products.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Carl and Mina Carlson; wife, Betty Carlson; son, Bruce; brother, Harlan Carlson; and sister, Hazel Guinn.
Survivors include his two daughters, Carol Koerperich of Wilsonville and Norma and husband, Ralph Crowe, of Richland, WA; sister, Arlene Glad of Atwood, KS; sister-in-law, Nola Carlson of Fort Morgan, CO; 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous friends.
Kenneth requested cremation with no public service. Inurnment in the Wilsonville Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
