LaDona Laura Redtfeldt died Friday, March 11, 2005 at St. John's Care Center in Kearney, Nebraska. She was 87 years old.

LaDona was born on June 8, 1917, at Lushton, Nebraska to Lawrence and Anna (Purcell) Wagner. At one year of age, LaDona and her parents moved to Wilsonville where LaDona grew up and later graduated from high school in 1935.

On August 17, 1935, she married William "Bill" J. Redtfeldt at Norton, Kansas. To this union was born a daughter, Barbara Jean. LaDona and Bill spent their entire married life in or around the Lebanon community farming and raising cattle. They shared a love for dogs. On November 29, 1994, Bill passed away. He and LaDona would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary the following August. LaDona was a good homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Redtfeldt; four brothers, Pete, Rufus, Zoeth and Lynn Wagner; and five sisters, Iva Schommer, Dena Sloan, Dolly Childers, Helen Tracy and Evelyn Van Wye.

LaDona leaves to cherish her memory, Barbara and her husband, Alfred Jolly, of Wilsonville; one granddaughter, Mary Fruhling and husband, Jeff, of Kearney; two great-grandsons, Dylan and Collin Fruhling; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given in her name.

Visitation will be Monday 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Friends may go online at www.carpenterbreland.com to extend condolences.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 15, 2005, 2:00 p.m., at the Lebanon Presbyterian Church with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery.
