Larry Eden

Larry Eugene Eden, age 70, of McCook, NE passed away at his home in McCook on Sunday, March 21, 2021.

Larry was born November 10, 1950 in Springfield, CO to parents Eldon Eugene and Betty Geraldine (Basham) Eden. He was one of three children who grew up in Kansas, attending school and graduating from Halstead High School in Halstead, KS with the Class of 1970.

On February 5, 1971, Larry married the love of his life, DeeAnn Marie (Wyss) Eden in Pueblo, CO.  The couple was blessed with a son, Matt.

In 1981, the family moved to Stratton, NE where Larry farmed until 1995.  From 1995 to 2011, Larry drove a semi truck. It was also during this time, in 2002, that the family relocated to McCook.  2017 brought a new venture for Larry. Together with his son, Matt, the duo opened Armadillo Arms and Sporting Goods in McCook.

Larry was a member of the Red Willow Rural Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, wood working and collecting Ruger Rifles.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother in law, Howard (Charlotte) Wyss; and his granddaughter, Margaret Eden.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Dee Eden of McCook; son, Matt (Sheila) Eden of McCook; brother, Wayne (Andi) Eden of LaPine, OR; sister, Susan (Chris) Robinson of Shreveport, LA; brother in law, Steve Wyss of McCook; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
