Larry Dale Seligman, age 64, died Friday, November 11, 2005, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln.
Larry was born on January 31, 1941, in Lincoln, to Dale August and Margarett "Maxine" (Bullock) Seligman. He graduated from McCook High School in1959 and attended McCook Junior College.
On March 18, 1961, he married Janice Kay Burk at Brewster, Kansas. To this union two children were born. They made their home in McCook where Larry was employed by Macfee Vet Clinic and McCook Packing Plant. He later became owner and operator of Cap and Cork Liquor Store. He was employed by Valmont Industries at the time of his death.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, McCook Elks Lodge and the Eagles. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Dale and Maxine Seligman.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Seligman of McCook; daughter, Sherry Seligman of McCook; son, Dr. Darin Seligman and wife, Mary, of McCook; three grandchildren, Katie, Dylan, and Dalton Seligman all of McCook; one sister, Patricia Holthaus of McCook; his mother-in-law, Wilma Burk of Brewster; niece, Tammy Holthaus of McCook; nephew Tim Holthaus of McCook; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends.
Memorials may be given in his name.
Visitation will be today until 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be Thursday, November 17, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Chapel with Father Gary Brethour officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
