Laryl L. “Tuck” Richards

Laryl L. “Tuck” Richards, age 82, of Wauneta, NE passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Sunrise Heights in Wauneta.

Tuck was born December 15, 1932 in Wilsonville, NE the son of Harold Lee and Halcyone Mae (Lyons) Richards, Sr. He was one of four children.  The family made their home near Hayes Center, NE where Tuck attended school.  Tuck graduated from Hayes Center High School in 1950.

Following high school, Tuck married Mary Ann Sonckson on April 1, 1954 in Hayes Center.  The couple farmed in rural Hayes County and were blessed with five children.

Tuck was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.  He spent his life working the land that he loved.  His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Tuck was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary Ann Richards in 2001; brother Harold Richards, Jr; sisters Sharon Richards and Karen Scott; and three grandchildren Chance Ruppert and Ira and Joshua Howard.

He is survived by his son Larry “Chip” (Starla) Richards of Hayes Center; daughters Marylin (Jim) Howard of Hayes Center, Cynthia (Merle) Dake of Munden, KS, Theresa (Don) Wymore of Girard, KS and Jo Lynne (Mike) Ruppert of Hayes Center; eleven grandchildren James (Kelli) Howard, Rebecka Jo and Elijah Dake, Sarah Pitts, Rachel (Conner) Phillips, Kip (Andrea) Richards, Buck (Heather) Richards, Tanner Jo (Skylar) Hill, Weston Richards, Taylor (Cory) Ridder and Riley Ruppert; as well as eight great grandchildren CJ Howard, Carter Phillips, Serafyna Pitts, Keenan, Hayley and Ryder Richards, and Jase and Allie Ridder.
