Laura Jean Clark

Laura Jean (Pizzini) Clark, 74, of McCook, passed away on September 19th, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer surrounded by her family.

The middle of three children, Laura Jean was born April 5th, 1948 in Montcalm, WV to the late Pemel Mae (Lilly) Wysong and the late Antonio Pizzini.

Laura Jean was a 1966 graduate of Montcalm High School. She worked for Social Services in West Virginia and also acquired a cosmetology license and cosmetology teaching certificate in the states of West Virginia, Kansas, Kentucky, and Nebraska, and was a certified teachers aide in the states of Kansas, Kentucky and Nebraska. She received an Associates of Applied Science – Business (Business Administration Emphasis) from McCook Community College in 2007.

Laura Jean loved spending time with her family and her gray tabby LilyMae. The most recent addition, 9 month old great-grandson Roman James Lytle, was the absolute joy of her life. She enjoyed listening to Darrin and JeriLynn perform live music across the local area and was involved in the make-up department of community theatre for many years.

Laura Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and best friend Rosemary Pizzini Jackson, and brothers John Ezra Wysong and James Murray Pizzini.

Laura Jean is survived by daughter, JeriLynn Karr and Son-in-Love Darrin Lee Karr, beloved granddaughters Alyssa Renaé Titus and husband Jacob, Emily Gayle Lytle and husband Tanner, and Great-Grandson Roman James Lytle, all of McCook, NE; nephew John Wesley Jackson of Montcalm, WV; nieces, Pamela Diane Jackson Grimes and husband John of Shady Springs, WV, Toni Marie Stafford and husband Jerry of Anderson, SC, Ginger Lynn Wysong and fiancé Charlie Borum of Gallapolis, OH, April Dawn Burks and husband Tommy of Brushfork, WV, Jonnie Ezara Wysong of Mooresville, NC, and Irene Jean Rotenberry of Green Valley, WV; extended family, many great-nieces, great-nephews, and loving friends.
