Lavone Louise Rozmiarek

Lavone Louise Rozmiarek passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Cambridge Manor. She was 65 years old.

Lavone was born on June 8, 1945 at Gothenburg. Her parents were Jesse Marvin and Delores Darlene (Ostendorf) Dutcher. She graduated from Culbertson High School in 1963. She later continued her education at McCook Community College.

On March 3, 1977, she married Anthony "Tony" John Rozmiarek at Red Cloud. They made their home in Culbertson for many years before moving to rural McCook. Over the years, she was employed at TRW and Mac's Drive Inn as well as a busy mother and homemaker.

She was a member of AA and loved to go on their campouts. Other favorites and pastimes included sewing, painting, knitting and crocheting; going to garage sales, shopping, and gardening; and was a fantastic cook. She had a passion for animals especially her cats and dogs.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Jesse and Delores Dutcher; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, Tony Rozmiarek of McCook; children, Richard Rima and wife, Sherri, of Lexington, Janel Rozmiarek of Oklahoma City, OK, David Rozmiarek and wife, Jackie, of Harvard, Brenda and husband, Bob Piel, of Blue Hill, Renee Bonds of Glenville and Misty Ebert of Oklahoma City; one brother, Jesse Dutcher and wife, Rebecca, of McCook; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given in her name.

Memorial services will be Saturday, January 29, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Chapel with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
