LeRoy G. Ulrich died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the age of 69 at his home in McCook
He was born February 22, 1939 to Louis and Francis (Richards) Ulrich in Oberlin, Kansas. He graduated from McCook High School in 1957.
LeRoy married Avis L. Sheldon on October 18, 1958 in Oberlin, KS. To this union two children were born, Byron and Shree.
He was a member of the McCook Elks Club, enjoyed old cars, boating, camping, fishing, grilling, gardening, yard work, being a carpenter and working on puzzles. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Automotive Sales & Service for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Francis Ulrich; one brother, Robert Ulrich; and two sisters, Carol Arrdal and Ann Geihsler.
He is survived by his wife, Avis Ulrich of McCook; one son Byron Ulrich and wife, Tanya of Grand Island; one daughter, Shree and husband Brad Arends of Grand Island; one brother, Ray Ulrich and wife Nancy of Rockledge, FL; five sisters, Mary Lou and husband, Bob Ross of Culbertson, Katherine Prater of Dublin, TX, Kay and husband, Dean Michel of Denver, CO, Heddy and husband, Wayne Reiners and Genny Mowe all of McCook; eight grandchildren, Jamie Sue, Jeffrey, Joslynne, Colton, Jesse, Elijah, Bobby and Clay; and 3 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Jonathon and Aliyah.
Memorials were to be given in his name.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 17, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at the Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Pastor Clark Bates officiating. Burial took place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
