Lillian Dolores Brown

June 26, 1930 — October 16, 2015

Lillian D. Brown, age 85, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge, NE.

Lillian was born June 26, 1930 in Seattle, WA to George Henry Tuttle and Dorothy Ada Vossler.

The family moved to Badger Pocket, WA where she grew up and attended school. They then moved to Lincoln, NE where she met and married Marion F. Brown Sr. on April 5, 1947 in Lincoln, NE. To this union six children were born. The couple later settled in McCook, NE where they lived and raised their kids.

Lillian was a life time member and past president of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary of the McCook Chapter. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards at the club. She loved being with her kids and grandkids.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Matson and husband, David of McCook; sons, George (Mike) Brown and wife, Cathy of McCook, John E. Brown and wife, Donna of Indianola, Jerry A. Brown and wife, Kandy of Bartley, Randy L. Brown and wife, Dianna of North Platte, NE, and Marion (Frank) Brown, Jr. of Maywood, NE; sister, Ina (Fern) Lomack and husband, Maynard of Esterville, IA; sister-in-law, Caroline Tuttle of Lincoln, NE, special nephew, Robert Yost of McCook; 23 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; as well as many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion; three brothers Allen, Leigh, and Kenneth; one sister Vivian; one grandson Jason, one granddaughter Michelle.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home in McCook with Pastor Steve Bales, officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Indianola, Nebraska.

Memorial may be given to the Donor’s Choice.
