Linda Diane Larson, of McCook, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln. She was 60 years old.
Linda was born on July 4, 1945, to Frank Gustav and Mildred Clare (Klucke) Nitz in Ledyard, Iowa. She graduated from Ledyard High School in 1963 and attended Mankato State College in Minnesota.
On November 11, 1968, she married Ronald C. Larson in Lakota, Iowa. To this union two children were born. They lived in Omaha and Crescent, Iowa, before making their home in McCook to be near their grandchildren. Linda was employed as a medical transcriptionist for Creighton Medical Center in Omaha. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Linda was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank and Mildred Nitz; and two brothers, Virgil and Roger Nitz.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Ronald Larson of McCook; one son, James Larson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; one daughter, Ronda and husband, Jon Graff, of McCook; one brother, Frank Nitz and wife, Peggy, of Olathe, KS; one sister-in-law, Sharon Nitz of Lockhart, TX; and six grandchildren, Anna, Alex, Andrew, Erik, Ethan and Mitchell.
Memorials were to be given in her name.
Memorial services were Friday, June 16, 2006, 1:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Randy Wahl officiating.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
