Louise Coburn

Louise Henriette Coburn age 92, died Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home in Oberlin, Kansas.

She was born February 16, 1920, at Culbertson to Henry Walter and Anna Frieda (Vollroth) Pollmann. She grew up north of Culbertson and attended Culbertson High School.

On December 23, 1945, she married Albert R. Coburn at McCook. They farmed south of McCook until they moved to town in 1989. She was a resident at the Willow Ridge Assisted Living before she moved to Good Samaritan in Oberlin.

Louise was a long time member of the First Assembly of God and loved going to church. She was a member of Jolly Music Makers with the Senior Center for several years. She enjoyed reading and doing word finds. She especially loved flowers, Gospel music, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert on December 19, 2000, her parents, Henry and Anna, four brothers, Earl, Walter, Henry, and John, five sisters, Anna Lundbery, Minnie Naugle, Emma Walker, Hannah Hein, and Christine Relph.

Survivors include a son, Darrel and wife, Janice, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; a daughter, Marcia and husband, Lyn Reynolds, of Oberlin, Kansas; grandchildren, Lyndsi Smith (John) of McCook, Nebraska Grant Reynolds, of Stella, Nebraska, Trista Myrick (Nathan) of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Amber Lorentz (Derick) of Lincoln, Nebraska Kent and Kyle Coburn of Flemingsburg; great- grandchildren, Cadyn and Raegan of McCook and Aniyah, Kavery, and Jayce of Nicholasville; two sisters-in-law, Louise Pollmann and Opal Tincher all of McCook, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook, NE from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., with the family receiving visitors from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 3:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God in McCook with the Rev. Jamie Mockry officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in her name.
