Madeline June Coburn, 82, passed away September 5, 2011 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, Nebraska.
She was born June 23, 1929 in Culbertson, Nebraska to John and Lillian (Ross) Hein. She graduated from Culbertson High School in 1947.
On July 25, 1953, she was united in marriage to Edsel Coburn. They made their home in McCook where they raised their two children, Ellen and Kris.
She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved cooking, puzzles, chocolate, antiques, garage sales and spending time with her family and friends.
Madeline was preceded in death by her sister Joann Hein; her parents John and Lillian Hein; and her husband Edsel Coburn on November 11, 1995.
Survivors include her son Kris (Lori) Coburn of North Platte, Nebraska, and their daughter Ellen (Tom) Hanthorn of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother DeWayne (Annie) Hein of Colorado; sister Patty (Daryle) Pasquan of Wisconsin; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home in McCook, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook, Ne with Rev. Lance Clay officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery also located in McCook.
