Margaret Lois (Goodin) Elliott, 94, died Friday (January 11, 2008) at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Lincoln.
Margaret was born Feb. 24, 1913, in Hastings to Louis and Letty (Wightman) Goodin. She grew up in Hastings and graduated from Hastings High School in 1930. She attended Hastings College, graduating in 1934. She was a teacher in the Culbertson schools from 1934-1937.
She married Harold A. Elliott in Hastings on June 13, 1937. They lived in Culbertson, before moving to McCook. In 2005 she moved to Highland Park.
She was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church, Chapter D TTT and A.A.U.W. of McCook and a past member of Chapter GY P.E.O.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William Quine Goodin; an infant sister, Mary Jane Goodin; husband, Harold and one son, Robert D. Elliott.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan and husband, Ron Witkowski of Lincoln; son, William Bill Elliott and wife, Barb of McCook; daughter-in-law, Janice Elliott Winters of Culbertson; seven grandchildren; 15 grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials were to be given in her name to the Alzheimers Association or the donors choice.
Funeral services were Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Thurman officiating. Burial in the Culbertson Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
