Biography

Margaret (Daffer) Reagan passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Willow Ridge Retirement Community. She was 78.

She was born November 28, 1929 to Elmer and Helen (Green) Daffer at their farm home near Danbury, Nebraska during a bad blizzard. She lived in Danbury the first 12 years of her life until the family moved to their farm home east of Lebanon, Nebraska. Here she spent the rest of her childhood graduating from Lebanon High School in 1947.

In the fall she left for Denver, Colorado where she attended Central Business College. She was employed in Denver for several years before returning to McCook where she would spend the rest of her life. She was employed by Montgomery Ward business office until her marriage to Bill Reagan of Stratton, Nebraska on January 20, 1952 in Lebanon.

It was in McCook their three children Pamela, Mary and Bruce were all born and raised and where they all graduated from the McCook schools.

For three years during this time they owned and operated the Cedar Motel of McCook. Later Margaret became the manager of the Chief Motel in McCook and continued in that position until her retirement.

She is survived by her husband Bill, her children and their families, Pamela (Dave) Busch and children Benjamin and Erika of Tualatin, OR, Mary (Charles) Degand of Kirkland, IL, daughter Colleen and children, Gino, Cassandra, Evan and Aries, of PA, Bruce (Carmelita) and twin daughters Maria and Katrina of Jacksonville, FL, brothers Robert (Marie) of Lebanon, NE, Alan (Frances) of Indianola, sister Beatrice of Dundee, IL and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She will be remembered for her courage in the face of her illnesses, her wonderful sense of humor, and her fierce loyalty. She shall be greatly missed not only by her loving family but by her many dear friends.

Memorials were to be made to the American Cancer Soc. or Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Suite F, #227 1659 Branham Lane, San Jose, CA 95118-5226 or the charity of choice.

Memorial Services were Saturday, November 22, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Inurnment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
