Marion Alberta Follett of McCook, died Friday, April 29, 2005, at McCook Community Hospital. She was 78 years old.
Marion was born on November 11, 1926, at Bird City, Kansas to Frank H.L. and Hertha Rose Pettit. She attended Baker Rural School.
On March 18, 1949, she married George Warren Follett at Beaver City, Nebraska. To this union two sons were born. They moved to McCook in 1956, where Marion was a homemaker and worked in housekeeping at Hillcrest Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; one son Michael Patrick Follett; two brothers, Lloyd and Sylvester Pettit; and infant sister Mary Lou Pettit.
Marion was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed cross-word puzzles, reading, embroidering and crocheting in her spare time. She was living at Hillcrest Nursing Home at the time of her death.
Survivors include one son, Rodney Follett of Omaha; one grandson, Michael Eugene Follett of Columbus; and great-granddaughter, Ashlynn Follett of Columbus.
Memorials may be given in her name.
Funeral Services were Monday, May 2, 2005, at Carpenter Breland Chapel with Pastor Clark Bates officiating. Burial took place at the Benkleman Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
