Marvin L. Lieske of McCook died Monday, October 22, 2007 in Council Bluffs, IA. He was 64 years old.
On March 1, 1943, he was born in Minden to Carl and Sophie (Pollmann) Lieske. He graduated from Hildreth High School in 1960. He married Sherry Hansen on August 31, 1963. To this union were born two children, Nicky and Ryan.
He lived in Arapahoe prior to moving to McCook in 1986. He married Marian R. Schuler in McCook on September 23, 1994.
He worked for Ag Valley at Edison in agriculture related sales. He enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed sports and time at the lake.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl; his first wife, Sherry and a sister, Marilyn Siebenaler.
Survivors include: his wife, Marian of McCook; a son, Ryan Lieske and wife, Alison of Hazard; a daughter, Nicky Smith and husband, Dan of Lincoln; his mother, Sophie Lieske of Minden; two step-sons, James Petsch of Kansas City, MO and Dan Petsch and wife, Kim of Grand Island; a step daughter, Diane Petsch of Stephenville, TX; and nine grandchildren.
Memorials were to be given in his name to the McCook Humane Society or to the giver's choice.
Funeral services were Friday, October 26, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Minden Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
