Max "Dick" Richard Miller

Max Richard “Dick” Miller, age 89, of Palisade, NE passed away on July 10, 2019 at Great Plains Health Hospital in North Platte, NE.

Dick was born January 13, 1930 in Milford, Indiana to parents Clarence and Juanita (Gillis) Miller.  He was one of three brothers born to this union.  Dick attended school in Milford before enlisting in the United States Air Force on May 18, 1948.  He was honorably discharged on August 15, 1952.

Following his years of service, Dick attended Kent State University in Ohio.  On May 1, 1976, Dick married Dianne (Folgate) Miller of Palisade in Chandler, AZ.  The couple became parents to three children: Bud, Candy and Maria.

In 1997, the family moved to Palisade where Dick was an active member of the American Legion and the Masons.  He enjoyed playing golf and was employed by Southwest Public Power until his retirement.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Tom Miller and Harry Miller.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife Dianne Miller of Palisade; son Bud (Tammy) Miller of Falls City, NE; two daughters, Candy Martin of Palisade and Maria (Luis) Acosta of Mesa AZ; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two great grand children; and other extended family members.
