Maxine A. McKillip, age 89, died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Hillcrest Nursing Home.
She was born in Hayes County to Reese and Edith (Green) Evans on December 25, 1918. She attended rural school through the 9th grade in Hayes Center.
She was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Auxiliary
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lonnie Trusty; brothers, Herschel Evans and Erlin Evans; and her husbands.
She is survived by her three sons, Dwight Trusty and wife, Mikae of Hayes Center, Michael Bruce Kathrens of Hayes Center, Kevin Heinrich and wife, Karla of Raymore, Missouri; sister, Mary Brown of San Diego, California; and three grandchildren.
Memorials were to be given in her name.
Funeral services were Friday, January 11, 2008, 10:30 a.m. at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Hayes Center with Pastor Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. Burial took place in the Hayes Center Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
