Maxine E. Myers died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was 86.
She was born on September 6, 1921 in Republic, Kansas to Donald A. and Willetta (Larkins) Davidson. She graduated from High School in Byron, Nebr. in 1938.
She married Adair A. Myers on March 17, 1944 in McCook. To this union two daughters were born, Carla and Cathy. She worked at the Fox Theatre, Woolworth, and Montgomery Ward.
She was a member of McCook Christian Church.
She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. Her hobbies included collecting roosters and chickens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Willetta; sister, Phyllis Hartman; two brothers, Glen and Gene Davidson.
She is survived by her daughters, Carla Winters and husband, Dick, Cathy Heskett and husband, Mark all of McCook; four sisters, Atha Cassens of Superior, Ardeth Hansen of Hardy, Donna Jones of Clyde, KS, Barbara Hymas of Napa, ID; five grandchildren and seven grandchildren.
Memorials were to be given in her name to McCook Christian Church.
Funeral services were at McCook Christian Church Monday, December 3, 2007 at 10:30 p.m. with Pastor Clark Bates officiating. Burial took place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
