Melvin "Mel" K. Reiners

Melvin "Mel" K. Reiners, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at his residence.
He was born on June 21, 1935 in McCook to Emil "Slim" R. and Lillian A. (Orman) Reiners.
Mel was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, the McCook Volunteer Fire Department and the American Legion Post # 203. He enjoyed walking, boating and fishing, and visiting with his morning coffee group.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Slim and Lillian.
He is survived by his twin sister Marlene and husband Ken Foster of McCook, sister Diana and husband Chris Marlatt of Kearney, and five nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Peace Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 1, 2011, 2:30 PM at Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Albertson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the ceremony.
Visitation and book signing will be Monday, January 31 from 1 to 8 PM at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home.
