Michael John Roe entered into peace on September 8, 2010 at Grand Island, NE. He
was born on September 28, 1955 in Holdrege, Nebraska to Gerald James and Louise Sophia (Fagot) Roe.
Having moved with his family from Holdrege to Fremont, he graduated from Fremont High School in 1974 and attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He then moved to McCook and worked for the McCook Public Power District for 30 years where he began as a lineman, moved to the warehouse and worked his way to Director of Engineering in 1989. Mike moved to Grand Island in 2009 where he was employed by Kriz-Davis a wholesale electrical supplier.
He was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in McCook, serving as Jr. Warden/Church Board. Mike was a member of the McCook Men's Bowling Association and received Director of the Year Award for dedicated service. Mike served on the YMCA Board of Directors from January 1999 through December of 2001 and was Board President in 2001 helping spearhead the Fitness 2000 campaign. Mike enjoyed bowling, taking care of his lawn and playing Yahtzee with his children as well as watching them play and perform.
On February 12, 1983, Mike was married to Martha (Tines) Roe at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook. To this union were born three children whom Mike loved unconditionally, Allison, Anthony "Tony" and Alex Roe. Mike married Terry N. Felber on October 18, 2007.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Al & Dagmar Roe of McCook; and his father, Gerald James Roe of Fairfield Bay, AR on July 26, 1990.
Survivors include his two former wives, Martha Roe and Terry Roe; his children, Allison Roe of McCook, Tony Roe of Kearney and Alex Roe of McCook; his mother, Louise Roe of Fairfield Bay, AR; his sisters, Karen Kirby, and husband Larry, of Woodland Hills, CA, and Marti Ogle, and husband, Steve of Arizona; his brother, William Roe and wife, Kathy, of Naperville, IL; four nieces, one nephew, and two grand-nieces.
Memorials may be addressed in his name and will be used to help support the works of Alcoholics Anonymous and Alanon.

Memorial services will be at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in McCook, Friday, September 17, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Mary Hendricks officiating. Inurnment will be at the Memorial Park Columbarium in McCook.
