Michael Vigneur

Michael Richard Vigneur, age 67, died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
He was born on October 24, 1939 to Wilfred and Bessie (Monru) Vigneur at Waltham, Massachusetts.
He entered the U.S. Air Force on June 18, 1959 and served with the 310th Transportation Squadron. On June 17, 1963 he was honorably discharged.
On December 31, 1959, he married Lois M. Strickland in Aurora, Colorado. They made their home in Colorado where Michael worked for Komac Paint Stores until 1986 when he had to retire due to medical reasons. He also drove a truck for the Scholastic Book Fair for three years. Besides raising their own children, he and his wife were foster parents for 27 years to 350 children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Bessie Vigneur.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Vigneur of McCook; his four daughters, Debra and husband, Thomas Sell, Abbey Vigneur, Jennifer McQuistan all of McCook and Sarah and husband, Fermin Rocha, of Denver, CO; three sons, James Vigneur and wife, Kathy, of Thornton, CO, David Vigneur and wife, Kerri, of McCook and Nicholas Vigneur and wife, Tracy, of Fort Leonardwood, MO; one sister, Jeanne Barrker of Denver, CO; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in his name.
Funeral services were Monday, July 2, 7:00 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Chapel with Pastor Jon Albrecht officiating. Burial took place Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
