Myrna Sue Keller ended her courageous battle on Monday, February 4, 2008 at El Dorado Nursing Home in Trenton. She was 74 years old.
Myrna was born on November 3, 1933 in Harlan County, Nebraska to Arthur William and Lucille Evelyn (Borges) Fruhling. She attended school in Trenton.
On March 3, 1950, she was united in marriage to Donald Eugene (Pee Wee) Keller. To this union four children were born. They made their home in Trenton where Myrna was a homemaker and a caregiver for the elderly.
Myrna attended United Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing cards with her bridge club, cheering on the Chicago Cubs, and spending time with family and friends. She made several cross-stitch quilts for her children and grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Arthur and Lucille Fruhling; her husband, Donald Keller on March 17, 1997; a grandson, Corey Fritsch on December 17, 1997; and an infant brother, Jackie.
Survivors include her son David Keller of McCook; three daughters, Martha Jane Duffy Keller of Culbertson, Rita and husband, Bill Fritsch of Culbertson and Joni and husband, Kevin Drain, of Trenton; sister, Ruthie Doyle of Culbertson; brother, Larry Fruhling and wife, Bernita, of Bellevue, Iowa; she was Grandma Buck to five grandchildren, Kasey (Dick) Kompus, Kris (Tara) Drain, Kati (Aaron) Brennan, D.J. Krajewski and Amy Keller; six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Terra, Kassidy, Kenzy, Bo and Lacyn; special nephew, John Keller; numerous family and a host of friends.
Memorials were to be given in her name.
Memorial services were Thursday, February 7, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at United Church of Christ in Trenton with Pastor Faye Ann Blaylock officiating. Inurnment in the Trenton Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
