Biography
Nancy Jo Martinez, age 55, died Monday, August 27, 2007 at McCook Community Hospital.
She was born in Concordia, Kansas on April 16, 1952 to Sidney C. and Joan R. (Charbonneau) Allen. She graduated from St. Patrick's Catholic School and attended McCook Senior High.
She married Ramon Martinez on July 19, 1974 in McCook.
She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, she also enjoyed games on the computer.
She was preceded in death by a niece and nephew.
She is survived by her son, Jose Martinez and wife, Kathy of North Platte; daughter, Jennifer Martinez and fiancé© Stephen Peterson, both of McCook; parents, Sid and Judy Allen of McCook; brothers, Robert Allen of Culbertson, Patrick Allen and wife Diane of Herndon, KS, Michael Allen and wife, Brenda of McCook; sisters, Sherrill Thayer, Lynn Carfield and husband, Vony, Victoria Lampman, and Sandy Schwab and special friend, Randy Ramsdell, all of McCook.
Memorials were to be given in her name to the American Lung Association.
Rosary was Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, August 30, 2007 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Gary Brethour officiating.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
