Patricia L. Battreall

Patricia, “Patty”, Lynn Battreall, age 73, of McCook, NE stepped out of this life and into the loving arms of her savior, Jesus, on April 6, 2022 at Community Hospital in McCook.

Patty was born November 16, 1948 in McCook to parents Murray Edward and Betty June (Lawver) Dugger.  She was one of three children who attended school in McCook, graduating from McCook High School with the Class of 1966.

Patty married David L. Battreall on August 21, 1986 in Las Vegas, NV.  The couple made their home in McCook and were blessed with two children.  Over the years, Patty enjoyed a career as a nurse and was employed by both Hillcrest Caring Center and McCook Public Schools.

Patty favorite past times included taking daily walks, working crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, listening to Christian Music and watching Husker volleyball and football. She was strong in her faith and had a deep love for her family.  Patty was a member of the Assembly of God Church as well as a dog lover who was especially fond of her beloved poodle, Husker.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to celebrate her life include her husband, Dave Battreall of McCook; son, Brad (Jill) DeMoss of Waverly, NE; daughter, Jessica Huffman of McCook; two brothers, Murray (Diane) Dugger of Aurora, CO and Randy Dugger of Lincoln, NE; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the McCook Humane Society, P.O. Box 13, McCook, NE 69001.

The family is hosting a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 9, 2022, 11:00AM, at the Assembly of God Church, McCook, with Pastor Barry Johnson, officiating.
