Paul Eugene Sprenkle, age 80, of McCook, NE passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at his home in McCook.

Paul was born October 15, 1941 in Naper, NE to parents Benjamin S. and Ruth Eileen (Pond) Sprenkle.  He was one of eight children.

On January 14, 1973, Paul married Clara Mae (Davisson) Sprenkle in Goodland, KS.  The couple made their home in McCook.

Paul was a baseball coach for over fifteen years and enjoyed all sports.  He was a golden glove boxer and he loved to fish, catch turtles and watch WWE wresting.  He visited his parents every day in Calvary Cemetery and was a member of the Catholic faith.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frances and Richard Sprenkle; four sisters, Mary Nelson, Leona Carfield, Agnes Dack and LaVern Blume; one great grandson, Phoenix Edward, brother in law Dwayne Blume and nephew Phillip Brown Jr.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Clara Sprenkle of McCook; son, Jeff (Megan) Sprenkle of Michigan; stepson, Denzel Payton of McCook; daughter, Tammy Jo (George) Schleeman of Elwood, NE; sister, Anna Lee (Phillip) Brown of Indianola, NE; six grandchildren, Sarah (Mike) Pearson of Cozad, NE, Crystal (Nick) Byrns of Elwood, Dusty (Tina) Gautier of Gothenburg, NE, Sonya Capps of Cozad and Mason and Madison Sprenkle of MI; four step grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
