Biography
Paula Jolene Gonzales, 55, of Lincoln passed away January 26, 2011, in Gretna, following a 20 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Paula was born to Paul and Norma (Richter) Gonzales on September 12, 1955 in McCook.
Paula is survived by her daughters, Jessica Cleckner, Lincoln, Teal Cleckner, Lincoln; grandchildren, Kiley Cleckner, Medin and Lola Cleckner; ex-husband and devoted friend, Mark Kaestner, Weatherford, TX; father, Paul Gonzales, Omaha; stepfather, Larry Pennington, Crestview, FL; siblings, Ramonda (Kerry) Naylor, Omaha, Cassandra (Fred) Gregory, LaVista, Christopher Richter, Albuquerque, NM, Tony (Jessica) Richter, Omaha; aunts Twila Brown, San Diego, CA and Verda Wegener, McCook; nieces, nephews and friends.
Paula is preceded in death by her mother, Norma (Richter) Pennington; grandparents, Clarence and Hazel Richter, Peter James and Mary Reyna Gonzales.
Special thanks to the residents and staff of Lancaster Manor, Paula's home for the past 3 years. Gratitude also to Gretna Living Community who cared for Paula in her final days.
Services will be held at Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home in McCook on Saturday, February 5th at 10:30 a.m.
Paula had a special love for animals, especially those in need of shelter. Her family requests memorials in her honor be made to the Capital Humane Society in Lincoln.
