Trenton - Pauline Jones, 96, died Friday (August 4, 2006) at El Dorado Manor in Trenton.
She was born February 22, 1910 at Culbertson to Frederick and Marie K. (Jugert) Rehn. She grew up and attended school in Culbertson and married Lewis D. Jones in Culbertson on March 23, 1933. They lived nine and a half miles southeast of Trenton until retiring and moving into Trenton.
She was a member of the Trenton United Methodist Church for 80 years. She belonged to the Helping Hand Club, Kum Again Club, and the Pioneer Campers. Her favorite pastimes were spent crocheting, gardening and tending to her special plants and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Casey in May of 1995; a daughter, Shirley Ann at the age of two; two brothers, one in infancy and Carl Rehn; a sister, Marie Willmann; one grandson, Kelly; and a son-in-law, James Huser.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert L. Jones and wife Martha of Cheyenne, WY and Thomas F. Jones of Sulphur, LA; two daughters, Bonnie L. Owens of Sergeant Bluff, IA and Janice M. Huser of Wauneta; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Memorials were to be given to the Trenton Ambulance Fund.
Funeral services were Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with Rev. Judy Dye officiating. Burial took place in the Culbertson Cemetery.
