Phyllis D. Kelsey died Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Cambridge Manor. She was 63 years old.
Phyllis was born on November 22, 1945 at Richmond, CA to Ralph and Nola (Smith) Hammack.
On June 22, 1997, she married Kent Kelsey in Virginia City, NV. They moved to the McCook community in 2003. Phyllis was a cosmetologist as well as a licensed vocational nurse where she worked for a number of years in skilled nursing facilities. She enjoyed painting, knitting and cooking.
Preceding her in death were her parents and grandparents.
Survivors include her husband, Kent Kelsey of McCook; her children, Ben Ratliff of North Platte, Bessie Ratliff of San Leandro, CA, Julie Ratliff of Ukiah, CA and Jim Ratliff of Capitola, CA; one brother, Glen Hammack of Vallejo, CA; one sister, Evelyn Youngberg of Fremont, CA; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

At her request, her body was cremated and a private family inurnment will take place at a later time.
