Pollie "Marie" Bales Patton left her physical existence on earth to spend eternity with God and loved ones in spiritual reality on Tuesday Feb 2, 2011 at Johnson Center in Littleton, Colorado.
Marie was born on September 28, 1915 in McCook to Clarence Cecil and Polly M. (Burgess) Bales. She graduated from McCook High School in 1934 and attended McCook Junior College.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Patton; her parents, Clarence and Polly Bales; sisters, Charlotte Frease and Evelyn Park; and brother, Warren (Clancey) Bales.
She is survived by daughters, Gwen Patton Klapal and Barbara Patton Laidman; sons, Kenneth Patton JR, and Michael Patton; grandchildren, Scott Smith, Brenda Smith Simmonds, Laura Smith Parde, Shelly Smith Tietz, Dari Laidman, Chris Laidman, Dain Trosper, Anne Marie Besler, Dustin Trosper, Veronica Patton Gull Anderson, and Angela Patton Gull Selber and several great and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves sisters, Ardith Bales Pinkal, and Sherry Bales Hornkohl; brothers, Bill Bales, Virgil Bales, and Floyd Bales; and many many nieces and nephews.
Marie was 95 years old and was born and raised in McCook and in her own words, "She came from good Midwestern stock". That she did and she will be so missed especially by her family.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 7, 2011, 10:30 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Bales officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
