Raymond E. Bruner, age 73 of McCook, Nebraska passed away Monday December 27, 2010 at Hastings, Nebraska.
Ray was born in Holyoke, CO on September 15, 1937 to Forest E. and Aletha L. (Daniels) Bruner.
While growing up, Ray attended school in Holyoke, CO. Ray also worked as a mechanic for Gene Wells in Holyoke and for Haggard Drilling in Ogallala, NE. Ray eventually relocated to Ocean Side, CA where he was a maintenance worker for apartment complexes. Ray retired and moved to McCook in 2005.
Ray was a member of the McCook Eagles Club. He had a miniature car collection, and was an avid husker fan. Ray also enjoyed hunting and working in his yard.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Donald Earl Bruner.
Ray is survived by his two children, Ricky and Christy Bruner and his four brothers, John (Ginger) Bruner of McCook, NE, Robert (Connie) Bruner of Emmitt, ID, Floyd (Elli) Bruner of Great Falls, MT, and Gene Bruner of Vista, CA.
Memorials are suggested in his name to the McCook Eagle's Club Charities, 805 East B Street, McCook, NE 69001.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 1 to 8 p.m. at Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home in McCook, NE.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home in McCook with Pastor Jon Albrecht, officiating. Ray will be cremated following the service and inurnment will be held at a later date.
