Richard Clarence Alba passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Kearney Regional Hospital. He was 67 years old.
Richard was born May 3, 1949 in Goodland, Kansas to Henry Salvador and Alice (Krutsinger) Alba. He graduated from Anaheim, California in 1968.
On April 29, 1969 Richard was drafted into the US Army serving in light weapons infantry until he was honorably discharged on January 26, 1971.
He worked for AT&T for 33 years as a lineman.
On December 16, 2010 he married Linda F. Chisam in Benkelman.
He liked to spend time with his horses and his dog was really special to him. He was an avid gun collector and he liked to do leather work in his free time.
Richard was a member of the NRA, the Benkelman Legion Post #65 and the VFW.
Richard is survived by his wife, Linda; son, David Alba of Los Angeles, CA; daughter, Christel Brandon of Savannah, GA; sister, Karen Bremer of Las Vegas, NV; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents.
Graveside memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on April 13, 2017 at the Benkelman Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the charity of one’s choice.
