Robert Melvin Grossman, age 90, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Hillcrest Nursing Home.
Robert was born on September 19, 1919 to Benjamin Franklin and Vergie (Johnson) Grossman at Lewiston, Wisconsin. His father was a cheese maker. He was one of nine boys and three girls. They moved to Mitchell when his mother inherited a farm, and he graduated from high school there.

Robert worked on the Kingsley dam at Lake McConaughy, he worked as an auto mechanic in Danbury and McCook and owned Bob's Jeep Sales from 1960 until his retirement in 1984 and during that time he and June were involved with snow removal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Donald in infancy; nine brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife June Grossman of McCook; sons, Billy Grossman and Jimmy Grossman of McCook; brothers, Oney Grossman and wife, Mary of California, Delbert "Doc" Grossman of Arizona; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials were to be given in his name to the American Cancer Society.
