Robert George KinKaid, age 64, passed away at his residence in McCook, NE.
He was born in Lincoln, NE on May 8, 1946 to Eugene and Ethel (Upton) KinKaid. He graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1964 and earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1968.
Bob was a diamond tool engineer and had several of the tools that he made patented.
He was a Big Red Fan. Bob enjoyed cleaning and working in his yard and garden, which he kept very meticulous. He loved to have breakfast at Oz-Tex Bakery. Bob always wanted to eat dessert first. He was a proud grandfather of seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant son, Nick; and brother, Richard.
He is survived by his children, Robert KinKaid, Jr. and wife, Andrea, Shelli Behm and husband, Randy all of Colorado Springs, Kelly KinKaid of McCook; grandchildren, Aspen KinKaid, Dalton Behm, Turner KinKaid, Johnathan Behm, Garrett Behm, Brodie Behm, Cale Behm all of Colorado Springs; sister-in-law, Angela KinKaid of Omaha; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Ed Thomas YMCA, 901 East E St, McCook, NE 69001.
Memorial services will be Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th st., Lincoln, NE 68512. Inurnment will be in the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
