Roberta Wynn Bennett of McCook died Sunday, October 2, 2005, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. She was 42 years old.
Roberta was born on November 1, 1962, in McCook to Jerry and Dorothy (Carey) Cariker. She attended McCook Public Schools.
On April 25, 1993, she married Tom Bennett in McCook. She was employed as a visual associate in retail clothing. Roberta attended Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved floral design and was a gifted artistic. She loved the outdoors, especially gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Tom of McCook; her mother, Dorothy Waller of Estes Park, Colo.; step-son Josh Bennett of Lakeland, Fla.; step-daughter, Kisha Bennett both of Lakeland; brother, Jerry Cariker, Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska. and twin brother, Robert Cariker of Denver, Colo; and two sisters, Laurie Tucker of Loveland, Colo. and Linda Edmondson of Estes Park.
Roberta was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Cariker and her grandparents, Burton and Lena Carey of Palisade.
Memorials may be given in her name.
Funeral services were Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
