Rodney Ray McKillip, 46, of McCook, died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at Hugh Butler Lake.
He was born December 26, 1957 to James A. and Marlys Jean (Grafel) McKillip at McCook.
He had lived in McCook all his life. He graduated from McCook High School in 1976. He enjoyed music, TaeKwonDo, fishing, sports, and especially Husker Football.
He worked at Parker-Hannifin (formally Dayco) and had celebrated 20 years of employment on May 29, 2004.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Edward & Iverna (Dimond) Grafel and Nile & Opal McKillip.
Survivors include: a brother, Randall McKillip and wife Sherry of McCook; a sister, Kimberly Aubrey and husband Bill of McCook; and niece Ashley Aubrey of McCook and nephew Brady McKillip and wife Leslea from Lamoni, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials were to be given to the Rodney McKillip Memorial Fund.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, June 9th at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church with Pastor Steve Bales officiating.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
