Roger Loop, age 67, of McCook, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on October 29, 2017 in Akron, Colorado.
Roger was born January 9, 1950 in McCook, Nebraska to Bill and Dorothy Loop and grew up in Trenton, Nebraska. Roger married Donna (Potter) Loop in Stratton, Nebraska on June 4, 1967. Roger and Donna were the proud parents of three daughters; Lisa, Monica and Darcy. The family made their home in McCook where Roger worked alongside his dad, Bill, at Trenton Electric and L&L Plumbing and Heating in McCook.
Roger loved hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, and playing pool. He also co-owned Darby Mountain Outfitters in Big Piney, Wyoming with his cousin, John Harper, and enjoyed many years of guiding fishing trips and big game hunts. His greatest love was his wife, daughters, and grandkids and he loved more than anything spending time with them.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dorothy Loop.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna; daughters, Lisa (Brad) Hageman of Akron, Colorado, Monica (Rick) Casiano of Angleton, Texas, and Darcy (Robert) Patterson of McCook; two brothers, Gary (Beth) Loop and Gale (Becky) Loop; two sisters, Dana (Richard) Frakes and Rita (Richard) Reiman. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kori (Neil) Hays, Kyle (Lyndsey) Michaelis, Dillon Michaelis, Danae Michaelis, Olivia Casiano, Abbie Casiano, Marcas Eckhardt and Brandan Eckhardt, step-grandchildren, Preston, Tayler, and Brooke Patterson, as well as a host of close friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at McCook Christian Church with Pastor Kyle Dellevoet officiating.
Memorial Contributions may be designated in Roger’s name.
