Ronald C. Felker

Ronald C. Felker, age 84, passed away Friday, November 06, 2015 at El Dorado Manor in Trenton.

Ronald was born June 28, 1931 in Stratton, NE to Mildred May Hannah and David Wingred Felker. He graduated from Trenton High School in 1949.

Ronald entered the US Navy during the Korean War in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1955. While in the service he received a China Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and Korean Service Ribbon.

He married Phyllis E. Shaw on January 20, 1956. The couple farmed northeast of Hayes Center. To this union three children were born; David, Marla, and Brad Felker. Ronald was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, American Legion and VFW.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Hayes Center; children, David Felker of Hayes Center, NE, Marla Felker of Colorado Springs, CO, and Brad (Shelley) Felker of Castle Rock, CO; grandchildren, Brandon (Kelly) Felker of Denver, CO, Bryan (Aimee) Felker of Castle Rock, CO, and Jordan Felker of Littleton, CO; great-grandchildren, Addilyn and Brielynn; also numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don and Gerry; and grandson, Daniel Ronald Felker.

Memorials are suggested to the Bethel Baptist Church, 601 Hayes St., Hayes Center, NE 69032.

Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2015 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Hayes Center, NE with Pastor Ted Burnfield officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Hayes Center Cemetery.
