Biography

Rose Marie Christner, 46, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 in Palisade. Rosie was a long time resident of Southwest Nebraska living in Hayes Center, Wauneta, Champion, Imperial, Alliance and Palisade.

She was born February 24, 1958 to James M. and Pearl (Hicks) Andrew at Cabool, Missouri. She accepted Jesus as her savior at an early age. She attended school in Hayes Center and Palisade.

On December 31, 1994 she married Jamie Christner at Trenton.

Rosie enjoyed spending time with her children, grand children and family gatherings. She especially enjoyed remodeling projects with her husband, Jamie. She worked with many friends in Imperial and Wauneta.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Francis and Mildred Andrew, Elsie Bressie and Sophus and Maggie Hicks.

She is survived by her husband Jamie of Palisade; two son's Jason Hicks and wife Crystal and Jimmy Hicks and wife Shastyn all of Palisade; her parents, Pearl and James of Palisade; her mother-and father-in-law, Dolores & Richard Christner of Culbertson; brothers Boyd and wife Jacki Andrew of Lincoln and Charles and wife Deb Andrew of Wauneta; two sisters, Sharon and husband Tom Miller of Wauneta and Kathy and husband Doug Hamilton of Alliance; five grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Alexus, Joshua and Ethan Hicks of Palisade; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles and close friends.

She was laid to rest on Saturday, May 29th at 10 a.m. MST at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta, with Rev. Ray Ridlen of Palisade officiating.

A memorial has been established in Rosie's memory.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
