Ruby Dack

Ruby L. Dack died Friday June 1, 2007 at Community Hospital in McCook. She was 73 years old.

Ruby was born on December 23, 1933 in McCook to Joseph Edward and Maude Cecil (Tubbs) Dack. She graduated from McCook High School in 1951.

After graduation Ruby began her employment with First National Bank and then moved to McCook National Bank as a cashier. She worked for a total of 40 years before retiring. She was an avid stamp collector and enjoyed being with her numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Joseph and Maude Dack; and five brothers, Grover, Alvin, Edwin, Joseph and Bradley, Sr.

Survivors include her brother, Dean Dack and wife, Vera, of McCook; sister, Opal Dack of McCook; 12 nieces and nephews; and 24 great-nieces and great-nephews; numerous cousins and a host of friends.

Memorials may be given in her name.

Funeral services were Tuesday, June 5, 11:00 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Chapel with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial took place in the Indianola Cemetery.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
